69ers
Charleen (Diedrichs) Steele
Well,
in a nutshell, here's a recap of my life since 1969. I have been married
since 1974 to Bob Steele (HHS 67). We are both graduates of KSU, and Bob
also has an MBA from YSU. We have spent most of our married lives in
Ashtabula, and currently reside at Saybrook on the Lake.
Through the years I have
worked as an Administrative Assistant/Executive Secretary to CEO's, Sr.
VP's, and Administrators of companies, businesses, and programs. I
retired in 2011 from KSU as a Secretary to Faculty and Program
Directors.
We have 3 married children
(Kevin, Jason, and Kristy) and 6 grandchildren.
My focus has been on God and
family and all the many activities through the years thereof.
Together, Bob and I enjoy
walking, playing cards, shopping garage sales, and traveling (including
many trips overseas to wherever our children were scattered). I have
especially enjoyed spending two whole summers in Germany.
Besides gardening and food
preservation, I use my spare time being a fabric artist, and in
particular quilting. I make
some quilts for
family gifts, and I have sold
more than 50 of my quilts all
across the country from my online Etsy shop.
But mostly I make comfort quilts to donate to various charity causes or
nursing homes.
I have included a couple
pictures of our family. (Sorry, these were taken in 2018 and we have not
been able to be all together since.)
I hope
you enjoy also seeing pictures of some of my quilts.
